Face coverings are provided and required over the mouth and nose at all times when inside the facility, and enhanced cleaning and sanitation is regularly performed.
ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
Supervises and plans work schedules and activities for hourly employees in the Refrigeration and Boiler Departments.
, Maintain and Repair Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration Systems.
Monitor Ammonia system.
Assist in Boiler Operations KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Maintain and operate Heating and Cooling systems within the plant.
Industrial Boiler operation and troubleshootingSupervises the repair of Electrical control wiring and components associated with the Ammonia system.
Manage the Repair of Compressors, Condenser, Evaporators, and Motors.
Verify readings in cases where conditions appear to be abnormal and record possible reasons for fluctuations or actions taken.
Manage the Technicians daily rounds and confirm all readings are logged into books and hand-held devicesStarts system, observes operation, reads gauges and instruments, and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, controls, and pumps to control level of fluid, pressure, and temperature in systemDismantles malfunctioning systems and tests componentsWear self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)Must Successfully pass a PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to be assigned and use a Self-Contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
These requirements must be maintained for continued assignment in the department.
Work in extremely hot and cold environment.
Prepares and supervises preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to maintain all systems under the ammonia refrigeration departments.
Manages and completes hourly employees' timesheets.
Works with and communicates with manager on issues which arise that could adversely impact the operational performance of the facility DESIRED QUALIFICATION:
2 to 3 Years' experience with Industrial Refrigeration preferred Operator 1, CARO, CIRO, and CRST (Certified Refrigeration Service Technician) a plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); Prior experience in Refrigeration systems or equivalent degree from a technical school.

LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSBe able to complete the Operator 1 Certification within two years.
Desired RETA certifications in CARO, CIRO, and CRST (Certified Refrigeration Service Technician) a plus.
